Chris Evans returns as Captain America as part of a 6 picture deal with Marvel, along with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Currently in the scripting stage, filming is rumored to take place following the production of Thor 2. Dominating the box office with Avengers, Marvel has green-lit a full slate of productions.
Scheduled for an April 4th, 2014 release date, details regarding plot are currently slim.
Liberal activist Sean Penn is rumored to play a right wing reporter in the upcoming reboot of RoboCop. Edward Norton, Rebecca Hall, and Garcia Bernal are also rumored.
Joel Kinnaman is signed on as the cyborg lead, with production beginning August 7th, 2012 at Pinewood and releasing August 9th, 2013. Michael Fassbender and Russell Crowe were considered for the lead at one point.
Originally directed by Paul Verhoeven, Brazilian director Jose Padilha will take the reigns this time.

Sin City 2 is finally happening with Frank Miller & Robert Rodriguez directing – set to begin production in the spring with an October 4, 2013 release date. Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, and Michael Madsen are onboard.
Rodriguez says he held back stylistically on the first one, but promises to push this one closer to the original graphic novels. “It’s going to shock and surprise people,” Rodriguez says.
Angelina Jolie is rumored to play femme fatal Ava Lord, but so far no confirmation.
Before Sin City gets rolling, Rodriguez will bring back Danny Trejo for Machete Kills. Rodriguez is tight lipped about the plot and claims all the rumors online are strategic misinformation, but the villain will be played by Mel Gibson. This could be interesting…

I know you’ve seen it… but watch it again. The Prometheus commercial promoting David the Android. I don’t know about you, but I could use an assistant like this.
Slated to begin production in August, FOX is claiming this to be “the true berserker, bad ass Wolverine!”
Directed by James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma – which was awesome), Wolverine will shoot in Australia and Japan, and is likely to be PG-13, unless there is a convincing reason to move to and R. I personally vote for R – but then again PG-13 movies have a wider audience.
What do you want to see… a harder more violent Wolverine? Or a tamed down PG-13 version?

Avengers is still going strong at the box office, and projections have targeted over $60 million for it’s 3rd weekend, while Battleship is expected to pull in only $35M, costing over $200M before marketing.
Universal is currently suing the masters of the mockbuster, The Asylum, over their homage “American Battleship.” Ironically, the film is set to air on Universal owned SyFy this month. A quick trip to the Asylum website reveals the film has been changed to American Warships.
Which movie will you watch?

You won’t believe your ears. Yes it’s true, Tom Cruise sings a cover of the Def Leppard 80’s hit Pour Some Sugar On Me. It’s not half bad.
Part of the upcoming musical Rock of Ages hitting theaters next month, which also stars Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti and Bryan Cranston. This could be awesome, or a train wreck. Either way, I’m sure it’s worth watching.
Is this a mega-hit, or epic fail?
